Regina Heyward

Regina O. Heyward is the Senior Vice President for Economic Opportunity for the Civic Committee of the Commercial Club of Chicago. With more than two decades of multi-industry global business experience, Regina has led significant commercial growth initiatives in North America, Asia, Latin America, and Europe.

Regina has deep expertise in Supply Chain Management, sustainability, and business inclusion. She has held prominent leadership positions in multiple industries ranging from manufacturing to financial services. Regina is highly respected for her keen business strategy, visionary leadership and ability to galvanize actions that lead to equitable and inclusive outcomes. 

Regina previously served as Head of Supplier Diversity at MassMutual, where she led broad supply chain inclusion efforts across the firm. Prior to, she served as Senior Vice President and Head of Supplier Diversity at Wells Fargo, where she was responsible for a $1 billion-plus portfolio of diverse business relationships and capacity building programs. Further, Regina served as the Director of Enterprise Supplier Management at Capital One where she was accountable for corporate real estate category management, third party risk management and supplier diversity. Regina spent five years at MeadWestvaco as Director of Global Supply Chain Compliance where she led commercial initiatives in China, India, Brazil and across Europe.

Regina is sought after as a thought leader and expert on sustainability and governance. Currently, she serves as a Director on the Truliant Federal Credit Union’s board of directors. She is an immediate past board member for Disability:IN and the U.S. Hispanic Chamber of Commerce. She is a licensed attorney in the state of North Carolina and a member of the American Bar Association.

Regina has been featured three times by Diversity Plus as one of the “Top 25 Women in Power Impacting Diversity.” A native of Thomasville, Georgia, Regina is a Summa Cum Laude graduate of North Carolina A&T State University and earned her Juris Doctor degree from North Carolina Central School of Law.  Regina is a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc.
