LEADERSHIP

Commercial Club members are leaders in business, education, culture, and philanthropy from throughout the Chicago region.

For more than 140 years, the Civic Committee and the Commercial Club of Chicago together have helped shape this City. From the Burnham Plan, to the O’Hare Modernization Program, to education reform, our members have been deeply involved in major initiatives that have influenced Chicago’s history and development. Our commitment to making our region a better place for everyone to live, work, and do business has been rewarded by the achievements of our great City.     As senior managing director overseeing Accenture’s Midwest business, Pallavi Verma leads more than 10,000 people across 13 states while also driving Accenture’s national apprentice program. She focuses on bringing innovation to clients, attracting top talent, and strengthening the company’s impact in its local communities. Pallavi is on the board of the Illinois Institute of Technology and Chicago Shakespeare Theater.

    Tom Wilson is the Chair, President, and Chief Executive Officer of The Allstate Corporation. Founded in 1931, The Allstate Corporation is the largest publicly held personal lines property and casualty insurer in America. Tom has held a number of senior executive positions at Allstate since he joined the company in 1995. In addition to his leadership at Allstate, Tom has been the chairman of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, a trustee of Rush University Medical Center, a member of the Young Presidents Organization Gold Chicago chapter, and has served as the national and Illinois Co-Chair for WE Day and as the co-chair of Get IN Chicago.

Membership Requirements

Election to membership is for business and civic leaders of the Chicago metropolitan area who shall be deemed qualified by reason of their reputation, position in their business or profession, and service in the public interest, and who shall have demonstrated a strong and continuing personal commitment to the Club’s goals of promoting the social and economic vitality of the metropolitan area of Chicago.
